A Board truly rich in tradition, the RGSPB was established in 1950. As the years passed, the Board grew in numbers, and currently stands strong with a Board of 86 prefects.

The 2 Prefect Mistresses are Mrs Sundari Prama and Ms Lim Soh Khim, who oversee the running of the entire Prefectorial Board.

The Executive Committee (EXCO) of the PB consists of the 3 Head Prefects - 1 Head Prefect and 2 Vice-Head Prefects, Head(s) of Discipline, Welfare, Finance, and the Secretary.

The Secondary 4 prefects precede the batch of Secondary 3 Prefects, as well as the batch of Secondary 2 Prefects-in-Training (PITs). The PITs are selected via teacher recommendations, interviews and peer elections. Students are also given the chance to be Student Leaders in Secondary 1 to experience what leadership roles are like.

The PB organises and runs school functions on top of enforcing discipline in the school. Beyond these boundaries, the RGS Prefects frequently serve as ambassadors to the school with our participation in an array of local and international events.

In the PB, we often share times of laughter and tears together with our batchmates and fellow prefects. As always, each batch leaves the PB with cherished memories.
